Exercises

Starting with Unit 1 (lessons 2A And 2B), you will have to hand in exercises for each unit. They are designed to help you practise for the final paper of each unit. With the exception of Unit 4 (lessons 5A and 5B), there will be 2 exercises for each unit.

Exercise 1 will practise rhetorical concepts from the Lunsford text as well as ideas for your final paper
Exercise 2 will allow you to look at how other authors have used the concepts of audience, purpose, and appeals

Unit 4 (lessons 5A and 5B) will feature 5 exercises, all of which are centered around the core concept of revising and will let you play around with different revision techniques or investigate another author's strategies of revising.

None of the exercises are intended to be formal...you have to hand them in, but you don't have to worry about spelling or grammar. They are simply meant to prepare you for your final paper.
